Lynette Pettigrew, Executive Director
Lynette is a lifelong resident of Gainesville. She and her husband, Don, raised two daughters in the town she loves so much. Throughout her career Lynette has worn many hats in this community. She is a former Director of Cooke County Camp Fire, Inc., and the Gainesville Boys and Girls Club. After a few years in the private sector she came to work for the City of Gainesville in 1997. She joined the Solid Waste Division of the Public Works Department and worked there before becoming the Administrative Assistant to the Recreation Development Department. She became the Main Street Manager for the City in 2005 and continues to hold that position as well as her current position as Executive Director of the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. Her deep love for all things Gainesville shines through as she works on projects such as Depot Days, Summer Sounds, and other events held each year. As Chamber Director she promotes and encourages the businesses in the town and surrounding area, helping them optimize their potential while helping Gainesville grow. Lynette and her husband, Don, helped create the Medal of Honor Host City Program and continue their efforts to honor and bring Medal of Honor Recipients to Gainesville each spring. Today she continues to grow and expand the Chamber of Commerce and welcomes community input.
Mandy Davis, Chamber Representative
Mandy Davis is originally from Yukon, Oklahoma but became a Gainesville transplant in 2005 when her husband was called to serve as the Associate Pastor of Families & Students at Temple Baptist Church. She quickly fell in love with the charm, character and, most of all, the people of our community. She has been with the Chamber of Commerce for almost 3 years and has a background as a legal assistant. Mandy and her husband Blake have two children; Elaina who is 8, and Elijah who is 2 1/2.
Jenny Richardson, Receptionist
Jenny Richardson and her husband moved to Gainesville nearly eight years ago. After raising two daughters in Keller, TX, it was refreshing to move to a small town and become active in community events. She served six years on the Frank Buck Zoological Society Board, and now serves on the GISD Foundation Board and is a member of the MOH Host City Program. Three years ago she was hired in a part time position, working at the front desk for both the GEDC and the Chamber of Commerce. It is a job she truly enjoys as she welcomes newcomers and visitors to Gainesville.
Heather Warren, Past Chairman
Heather Warren, was born and raised in Muenster. She has worked for NASCOGA Federal Credit Union for 11 years serving as past assistant vice-president of marketing and public relations and is currently a loan officer. She is a past President for the Gainesville Kiwanis club and also serves on the North Texas Medical Center Foundation’s Board. Heather has two children Anna and Luke.
Trey McLeod, Chairman
Trey McLeod, is a Vice President at First State Bank (main branch). Born in Jackson, Miss., Trey has lived in several areas including Alexandria, LA., Las Vegas, Nev., Lafayette, LA., and Dallas. He moved to Gainesville in November 2005. He and his wife Merideth, have one daughter, Ava, who is 4 1/2 years old.
Laura Otts, Chair Elect
Laura Otts has been working at Otts Furniture since 2006. A Gainesville native, Laura graduated from Gainesville High School and Texas A&M University. She is married to Barry and together they have one son, Jackson. Laura is a former member of the Cooke County United Way Board of Directors and served as campaign chair for the 2013 United Way campaign. She is a co-founder of the Gainesville Summer Sounds Concert Series and an active Depot Day volunteer.
Byron Berry, Vice Chair
BYRON R. BERRY is a graduate of Gainesville High School and received his Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University. He earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law. His civic services include the following: Leadership Gainesville Steering Committee, Gainesville Adopt-A-School Steering Committee, Director Cooke County Youth Center, coaching boys' baseball and football for the Cooke County Youth Center, Rotary (Past President), and Legal Counsel to Ann's Haven Hospice. He practices in the areas of business, bankruptcy, corporations, probate, and estate planning. Byron is a partner in the lawfirm, Hayes, Berry, White & Vanzant serving Cooke, Collin, Dallas, Denton, Montague, Tarrant, Young and Wise Counties.
Byron has three children and resides on his ranch in Rosston Texas.
Kelly Corbett, Director
Kelly Corbett began her role as Business Development Representative for First State Bank in January 2011. She is a 1999 graduate of Era High School and a 2003 graduate of Texas Woman’s University. She is married to Clay Corbett and has two children, Carson 5 and Chloe 2. Kelly and her family reside in Lindsay and she enjoys spending time with family and friends and being involved in the community.
Brian Winters, Director
Brian Winters was born and raised in Gainesville, Texas. He is married to Jamie Winters and they have 3 children. Brian Graduated from Gainesville High School in 1995 and he is the 4th generation owner of Gainesville Glass Co., Inc. Gainesville Glass Co., Inc. has been owned by the Winters family since 1945.
Chad Henderson, Director
Chad Henderson is from and lives in Gainesville, TX. He is a 2003 graduate of Gainesville High School and The University of North Texas with a degree in Radio, TV and Film. He is the Director of Media Relations with the Gainesville Independent School District. He is also a working guitarist in the North Texas area with the bands "Midnight Drive" and "The Holler Time." Chad is also Program Director of local radio station Camp Sweeney’s KPFC-FM.
Kristi Hamilton, Director
Kristi Hamilton and her husband, Bill, own and manage Premiere Real Estate in Gainesville and Lake Kiowa Premiere Real Estate. Kristi graduated from Callisburg High School. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri and a M.S. in Forensic Genetics from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Kristi and Bill have five children – Haley, 20; Madeline, 15; Lauren, 14; Jack, 12; and Hank, 6. Kristi is looking forward to many years of serving the Gainesville community.
Gary Baldridge, Director
Gary was born in Silver City, New Mexico. He attended high school in Hayden, Arizona and had 2 years of college at University of Arizona. He served in the Air Force from 1968-1972 and married his wife in 1973. Gary moved to Texas in 1990. He is the business owner of Gary’s Business and is a Professional Residential Inspector.
Gayla Blanton, Director
Gayla Blanton is the Director of Marketing for North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, a position she has held for the past 28 years. She is a Gainesville native and is married to Dee Blanton of KGAF Radio. Gayla volunteers with a number of agencies, including United Way, Relay for Life and the Chamber of Commerce. She is a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development.
Kelli Hunter, Director
Kelli Hunter is a lifelong resident of Cooke County. She is a full-time HR Analyst with ORTEQ Energy Technologies, LLC in Gainesville, and also works part-time as an Interior Decorator. Kelli is married to Barry Hunter (Hunter’s Oil Depot), and they have four children: Blake, 21, with Hunter’s Tunnel Express; Cole, 19, currently serving with the U.S. Marine Corps; Ashton, 18, a full-time student at North Central Texas College; and Jake, 15, a full-time student.
Morgan Ambrose, Director
Morgan Ambrose was born and raised in Aurora, Colorado. She found her way to Texas through her college years studying Marketing & Advertising at Texas Tech University from 2002-2007. After college, Morgan took a marketing job in Dallas, TX where she traveled extensively within a 15+ State Region to top ranked colleges promoting collegiate accessories to an account base of 300+ clients. Through her contacts, Morgan was offered a temporary contractors position assisting with property casualty claims on the West coast in Santa Barbara, California. With money set aside and adventures left to experience, Morgan found herself backpacking through Europe for 6 months thereafter. Upon her arrival back to the states, the job hunt commenced and lead her to an Event Sales Coordinator position at Indian Creek Golf Club in Carrollton, TX. There she excelled from #75 to the Top 5 Sales Coordinators in the national ranking of Eagle Golf Alliance. In 2011, Morgan was recruited to WinStar World Casino to introduce and promote Group Sales to the Golf Course. She managed all sales and event scheduling for the 27 hole golf course for 2 years. In January 2013, she was promoted to Operations Manager of Non-Gaming Amenities at WinStar World Casino. Morgan is very excited to be a new member of the chamber board and is looking forward to many years of serving the Gainesville community.
